My Journey to my Chief Scout Gold Award
My name is Jack Copley and I have been going to Gilberdyke Scouts since I was 6 years old.
I started as a Beaver Scout and then went onto be a Cub.
In 2008 I moved from Cubs to Scouts and it has taken me 4 years of hard work to finally get this badge, which is the highest award a scout can get.
Scouting is great fun for all – boys and girls. We meet on a Monday night at 7pm to 9pm at the Scout hut on Ings Field in Gilberdyke.
As well as badge work we have lots of fun and games and go on camping trips and activity days.
In the last year we have been on day trips to Whitby and Blackpool, adventure camping in Hesley Wood, family camps at the Scout hut and loads of other fun stuff.
There are lots of badges you can work towards, these are the ones that I did to get my Chef Scouts Award ..

It looks hard work but its great fun and even though it has taken me 4 years to earn this award its been an adventure.
