halloween party

The Cubs enjoyed an early Halloween fancy dress party at the last pack meeting before half term.  They all made a good effort and turned out in a variety of feindish disguises.  The sheeps eyeballs and worms in tomato sauce were just one part of the fun, along with the bats blood spots from the Spot game.  A big thank you to all the parents for their efforts too, especially the hand made cakes, YUMMY!

Please note that the first night back after half term is our Bonfire Night party and we will be STARTING AT 6.00pm. Everyone is welcome to stay, there will be soup and hot dogs for you all too.  The Beavers will be joining us at 6.30.

Scouts Night Hike Septermber 2010

On Monday 27 September Gilberdyke Scouts went on a night hike round the back lanes near to Gilberdyke.  The weather was not particularly kind and we were all pleased to have worn sensible waterproof clothes.  Special thanks must go to the proprietors of Gilberdyke Fisheries for their impromptu donation of a hot food supper.  The Scouts certainly enjoyed the sausages, patties and chips and the warm food was a good end to a pleasant evening walking.
