Tablers Cub and Scout camp 2010

The Cubs had a great weekend of fun and activities whilst camping at Tablers Wood from 2nd to 4th July. The theme was Athletics and they all worked and played hard to successfully earn their Athletics badge, which they were presented with at close of camp. 
Other activities over the sun soaked weekend included parachute games, that night time wide game we never mention whilst on camp (ask the kids), and chocolate bananas from the open cooking fire. No camp would be complete without the night time camp fire and singing of silly songs.
For some it was their first time at camp, whilst others are old hands at it already, even at ten years old! 
All of them cooked their own breakfast over an open fire on saturday morning and not a single sausage was burnt. Some completed their Camper badge at this camp and will receive it at the next Pack meeting. Thank you to all the parents for cake and biscuit contributions, yummy!
The Cubs were joined on camp by the Scouts and we all had a fantastic weekend together. Look out for a camp report from one of the Cubs, which will be posted at a later date.

Ok, so it is Camp tomorrow for Gilberdyke Scouts and Cubs and as you all know the camp will be held at Tablers Wood, which is near Snaith. We are meeting at the campsite at 6.00pm.
