25th Anniversary Celebrations

Registered Charity Number 1055551

On Sunday morning 28th August 2011 from 11am, families and friends of the residents of Gilberdyke and adjoining parishes are invited to visit Ings View Sports Field to help celebrate the achievements of the last 25 years.

For anyone not familiar with the site it will be an opportunity to see the facilities  and also try out some of the activities on offer. There will be stalls, games and refreshments to make it a fun day for all.

Ings View Sports Field, owned in perpetuity for the inhabitants of Gilberdyke, by Gilberdyke Parish Council, is home to the Bowls, Cricket, Phoenix Football and Ladies Rounders Clubs. Gilberdyke St Stephens Scout Group, who will be celebrating  their 40th Anniversary later this summer, also have their Head Quarters there.

Each club and organisation is responsible for its management and has its own committee, constitution and bank accounts. GDLA is a registered charity. The Trustees  have provided and developed the facilities by obtaining grant aid for many projects. The site is maintained to a high standard by a dedicated group of volunteers. Ings View Sports Field is a community asset provided for the community, by members of the community.

Ideas for additional activities and offers of help are always welcome.
